ABOUT

'a glass of papaya juice and back to work'

Frank  O'Hara

Papaya Press is a small independent press based in the North East of England. Interested in the space between art and literature, we collaborate with emerging artists and writers to make zines, host events and run workshops. Our aim is to build a supportive creative community through our work.

SUBMISSIONS

Papaya Press is excited to announce that we’re now accepting submissions for our blog on a rolling basis. Send us your art, illustration, photography, short stories, poetry and essays.

Email us at papayapressinfo@gmail.com with the subject heading submission.

We’re also now offering regular opportunities to guest bloggers! Just a few things to think about when pitching your potential guest post:

  • Please pitch us something you haven’t published elsewhere.

  • We often get asked, are you just a platform for women? The answer is no. We’re an intersectional platform and we’ll consider pitches from everyone although priority will be given to female-identifying voices.

  • Guest posts should be of interest to our audience. A few of our favourite topics are: art history, contemporary art, literature, writing and Feminism. Have an idea that doesn’t fit into these categories? Drop us a line! We are very friendly. Our aim is to create a supportive creative community so discussions are more than welcome.
